School Meals

Meals are £3.10 per day, £15.50 for the week.

Our school meals are freshly prepared by our School Cook - Mrs Cammack and her team.

Meals are to be preordered by parents from home via School Grid and must be ordered before 8:50am on they day, and can be ordered in advance. Newton Primary follow the Local Authority policy for non-payment of school meals.

 Free School Meals

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals, but if you are in receipt of the benefits below, we would urge you to still apply for Statutory Free School Meals as school may be able to obtain additional funding, known as Pupil Premium, to help towards supporting your child in their learning.

Please read the below information and if you answer ‘yes’ to any of the questions, please use the link below to apply to St Helens Council.

Does your child live with you under any of the following:

  • Special Guardianship Order
  • Looked After Child

Children who get paid these benefits directly, instead of through a parent or guardian, can also get free school meals.

Your child may also get free school meals if you get any of these benefits and your child is both:

If you are entitled to any of the above, you may be entitled to free school meals and the school may also be entitled to extra pupil premium funding to help support your child’s education

Every year, we review our special diets procedure to ensure the process is working as well as possible for Parents/Carers, Schools and Kitchens alike.
