Nursery Applications are available throughout the year – We have a 52 part time place nursery with 26 pupils in a morning and 26 pupils in the afternoon.  Pupils will attend 3 hours in a morning or 3 hours in the afternoon.

We have a limited number of 30 hour nursery places for parents who are eligible for this.  Please contact school on 01744 678390 for more information regarding this or contact St Helens Council on 01744 676542.

Application forms for Nursery are available from the school office or from St Helens Admissions Department in Atlas House, telephone number 01744 671029. Parents may contact the school at any time to arrange a visit or to request further information.

January, April and September 2019 Nursery Admissions
If your child turns 3 after 31 August 2018 and you wish to apply for January, April or September 2019 admission, you can now apply online. The closing date is 27 July, 2018. Paper applications can be completed after the closing date.

Before you apply

Read the Nursery Education Booklet which contains useful information about the application process including: how places will be allocated, definition of home address and how late applications will be dealt with.

Local Authority Primary Applications for 2019 – You can apply online. Closing date for applications is 15th January 2019. Visits to see our school for prospective parents for reception children in 2019 please contact the school office on 01744 678390 to book a visit, all welcome!  We will also hold an open day for visits so please look out on our website for dates.

Local Authority Secondary Applications for September 2019 – You should have received letters from St Helen's Council advising that you could now apply online. Limited copies of the booklets are available from our school office for those parents who do not have access to a computer. Applications need to be completed and returned by 31st October 2018.

In Year Transfers

Applications for a place in Reception after the waiting list has closed, or Years 1 to 6, should be made on the Local Authority’s in year common application form (follow the link at the bottom of this page). The application will then be processed in accordance with St Helens in year co-ordinated admission scheme.

Parents will normally receive a written response to their application within ten school days.

The admission arrangements for Newton-le-Willows Primary School & Nursery are in accordance with the School Admissions Code, the School Appeals Code, other laws relating to admissions, and relevant human rights and equalities legislation. It follows, therefore, that they do not discriminate against or disadvantage disabled children or those with special educational needs.
