School Aims

The aims of Newton-le-Willows Primary stand upon three fundamental beliefs about the nature of our school community:

1. That the aim of education is to provide every child with the personal resources to fulfil her/his full potential both as an individual and as a member of society, throughout her/his life and that we wish to offer equal opportunities to all, irrespective of gender, race, creed, ability or social background;

2. That all children have unique contributions to make and that these are best nurtured and developed in a caring, supportive and stimulating environment where their efforts are recognised, encouraged and valued;

3. That the process of education is not limited to the school. Parents have a vital role to play and for many children a positive and supportive relationship between home and school will significantly improve their attitude, motivation and behaviour. We believe that we can only achieve our aims with the active involvement and support of the children themselves and their families.
